RB Kevin Smith, UCF
Strengths: Prototypical speed for a RB, and overall one of the most athletic RB's in this class. Plays much faster then he times in at (4.49) . A natural running back with excellent vision and instincts. See's the hole at all times and pounds through it. Strong, tough, and powerful RB with very soft hands and will not drop passes. Fantastic balance to continue moving on his feet after contact. Extremely productive in his Senior year rushing for 2,567 and 29 TD's. Solid blocker.
Weaknesses: While having above-average speed, isn't the fastest guy in the draft. Some feel he isn't a big play threat. Alot of mileage for a Junior. Runs to tall. May need to bulk up as he is a tad thin. Didn't always play against prime competition at Central Florida.
Notes: This past season come very close to Barry Sanders record for rushing yards in a season but fell 61 yards short. Only received two Div-1A offers (UCF and Akron). Would have likely been a top 5 pick next year and on the Heisman watch list had he gone back to school. Similarities in his running style to Adrian Peterson.
